Sorry for the long time in posting, but things are happening in a fast and furious way here at Sons of Liberty Publishing. The new year has been upon us and we are about to release our first novel of 2010.
On March 1, Larry Brook's apocalyptic thriller "Whisper of the Seventh Thunder" will be out. This is an incredible book that Harriet Klausner (Amazon's #1 ranked reviewer) called "a fascinating enthralling apocalyptic thriller that deftly blends Brown, Clancy and LaHaye-Jenkins." If you like Dan Brown's work, you will absolutely love this novel. Larry is a gifted author who is going to knock your socks off.
In other big news, we've signed noted author David Daniel
(http://www.daviddanielbooks.com/) to a deal to publish a collection of stories called "Coffin Dust." (Don't worry about what his website says...believe me, it's us publishing it and that will be fixed soon by his webmaster). The stories are very much in the "Twilight Zone" genre of things.
David is a very well known author who has been published numerous times by the big New York guys. His "Alex Rasmussen" detective series (which takes place in Lowell, MA...the same city that Ronan Marino lives in) is what put him on the map and his follow up novels ike "Reunion" and "White Rabbit" have been very highly praised by major publications. We are thrilled to have him on board.
Meanwhile, Lloyd L. Corricelli's next Ronan Marino book called "Chasing Curves" is about to begin editing and the cover is being worked. We hope for a 1 July release for this anticipated follow up to "Two Redheads & A Dead Blonde." Lloyd is also working on the third Ronan adventure for a summer 2011 release.
The company has also just made an offer to another author who came to us via a Lowell Sun article about us. More to come on that when the ink is dry on the contract.
Meanwhile the still untitled Mike Girard (of the band The Fools) book is going well and there may be a big announcement soon as to who is writing the forward. Believe me, we're talking big . big, big news here. Still no consensus on the title yet. Mike wants to call it "Brown M&Ms" (rock fans should get the reference), but we're not so sure Mars Candy will go for that.
In addition to the book part of things, we're hoping to bring in a marketing expert to our team to focus on getting the word out on our products.
We've also already started to look at books for 2011. Unfortunately, we've been forced to temporarily stop accepting submissions from new authors for the time being to get through the submissions we have. We hope to start accepting them again later this year.
To those of you who have bought our books, thank you. For those who haven't...what are you waiting for!
Until next time.
